The easiest way to submit your idea is to e-mail a query letter to one of the editors. The query letter should be a short description of your project. Try to limit your letter to one page. Many of Quirk's best books were pitched in a single paragraph, and a few were pitched in a single sentence.

You can also mail materials directly to the office. If you would like a reply, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope.

interested in: Quirk Books is always on the lookout for strange and wonderful ideas. They specialize in entertaining nonfiction books that are bolstered by very strong graphic design. No epic fantasy novels. No children’s books.

interested in: "Romantica" is the name for the line of erotic romance novels published by Ellora’s Cave Publishing. Erotic romance is defined by as: any work of literature that is both romantic and sexually explicit in nature. Within this genre, the main protagonists develop "in love" feelings for one another that culminate in a monogamous relationship.

"Romantica" doesn't begin from the premise that women's sexual experiences are dirty and therefore in need of being perfumed up by flowery phrases. The premise of Romantica™ is that women's sexual experiences are legitimate, positive, and beautiful.

Ellora's Cave Romantica must be both erotic and romantic.

- The sexual relationship must be integral to and an important element of the storyline and the character development. Sex scenes should contribute to furthering the plot or affecting the development of the romantic relationship or the growth of the characters.
- The story must include abundant and explicit sex and sexual tension, starting early and continuing throughout. Sex scenes must be described in graphic detail and explicit wording, not delicate euphemisms or purple prose.
- The story must meet the definition of a romance novel: the primary focus must be on the development of a romantic relationship, and there must be an emotionally satisfying committed ending for the main characters.

They also publish EXOTIKA, our line of quality erotica for women. These stories focus on a woman’s sexual journey or adventures. Although they may contain a romance, they do not have to include that as the primary focus, the relationship does not need to be monogamous or end with commitment.
